S3 Storage Migration from 2026-09-09 10:00 CEST to 2026-09-09 12:00 CEST

On Wed 9th September we will migrate our S3 storage for the CH cloud to another S3 backend with the same provider (Switch). We will keep syncing the data live during the time until the migration date, so the delta on 9th September should be quite small for the final sync.

On cut-over date the process will be as follows: we do a sync, then connect the CH cloud appliances to the new backend and after that do a final sync again. So in the timeframe between switching to new backend and the final sync there is a small window where the GINA-Cache/LFT data-state maybe is not fully equal to the source. But that final sync should not take longer than a couple of minutes. After the final sync is done the GINA-Cache/LFT data should be complete again.

During that time-frame some inconsistencies can occur which should be solved by the proper ending of the final sync. For GINA only Cached-Mode messages can be affected (where the recipient clicks on the link). When the recipient opens the attachment directly no problems are to be expected even during the S3 sync runs.
